You may be going through one of the most difficult times in your life, and the pain may even transcend words.

Our programs and offerings, focused on human and pet loss, can help to normalize your grief, and to make it more bearable and less isolating through a variety of modalities designed to make you feel safe, supported, and accompanied.

Our work is open and welcoming to people of all backgrounds, sexual orientations, genders, and disabilities. Without judgment of you or your grieving process, religiosity, or any agenda, and with deep compassion, skill, confidentiality, and 29 years of combined education, training, and experience as a grief counselor and rabbi, I hope that through our time together you will find the care and guidance you may need and expect.

Hineni – I am here for you.

The man who saved my life

“I got more out of one session with Rabbi Jon Sommer than I ever did from over 10 years with psychotherapists. When I first met Rabbi Jon, I was grieving deeply for the loss of my mother. My father died 5 years before and I was only left with a sister who lacked and still lacks compassion, is selfish and at times cruel. At that time, I also lost my fiancé and several close friends. I felt completely bereft.

Rabbi Jon was my only true support, and he helped me through several losses, major surgeries and much suffering. I don’t know if I would be here today if it wasn’t for his kindness, patience and support. I owe him a lot and know future clients will benefit greatly from working with him. Blessings to Rabbi Jon for all of his support.”
